Description

The northbox expedition is slightly taller than the northbox tour. Tall people, in particular, will appreciate these extra inches, as they make the seating even more comfortable. The 10-liter urine tank is particularly beneficial for families and frequent urinators. It also increases flexibility on longer tours in remote areas, as it simply needs to be emptied less frequently.

The additional height makes it possible to place a 4.5 l storage container (e.g. for toilet paper or litter) under the 6.5 l solid waste container.

During manufacturing, we made sure that the northbox composting toilet is lightweight yet extremely stable and durable. This means you can also use it as a seat without worry. We recommend the magnetic wooden cover .

Thanks to its lightweight design and weatherproof aluminum box, it can be perfectly stored on the roof rack. Its compact dimensions allow it to fit on or in any vehicle.

The integrated stop holds the opened lid in the air, eliminating the need to lean or rest the lid on anything.

The lid of the box closes tightly thanks to a plastic seal, and the seams are sealed to prevent dust (IP56), odors, or liquids from getting in or out. The urine canister features a special membrane closure that ensures the urine drains quickly and then stays in place. This prevents spillage, even while driving over rough terrain.

The toilet seat made of coated birch plywood makes even longer sessions comfortable, and any spilled drops can be easily wiped away.

The separating insert can be removed and reinserted from the toilet seat in just a few steps for cleaning. 

Emptying

Emptying the toilet is incredibly easy. After you've used the toilet several times, simply lift the toilet seat with the divider, grab the urine canister, and empty the contents into a drain. The solid waste bag is disposed of in the trash. You can learn more about disposal in the FAQs.
